Confessing the Truth in Love

This is a book of theological reflection and spiritual meditation. Its basic vision is a theology of communion and a spirituality for mission. Christology and ecclesiology are presented from a Trinitarian perspective. The ultimate Truth is identified with Communion. The Triune God is the source and the model for Church unity. Life is essentially self-giving and receiving. Mission is perceived as sharing in the joy granted by the Holy Spirit to bring witness to the world. Tradition is transmission of the life in Christ throughout the centuries and there is no opposition between mission and tradition since the Church is confessing Christ in the Holy Spirit and cultivating His Gospel in different cultures.

This book opens a more Biblical-liturgical vision of history rather than a sociological one. The Church is primarily called to be the eschatological consciousness of the world and of the entire Creation, the sacramental icon and the foretaste of the Kingdom of God, the laboratory of the Resurrection.
